Actor Akhil Akkineni has been struggling to consolidate his position with a big hit in the industry. While his first film, Akhil failed to create a mark, his second movie Hello turned out to be an average fare. For his third film Mr Majnu, the actor has teamed up with director Venky Atluri.

Produced by BVSN Prasad, the film has wrapped up a major schedule in London and is slated to release on December 21. According to a source, the team has decided to push the release by two months owing to the packed box office in December and January. “December is considered as a lucky month for the Akkinenis. This time, Akhil’s Mr Majnu won’t be hitting the marquee as announced (on December 21) due to box office rush. In all probability, the romcom will release in the second week of February, around Valentine’s Day,” informs a source.

Also featuring Niddhi Agerwal, the film shows Akhil in a new avatar as a playboy. The actor’s first look from the film released recently has received a positive response much to the delight of the makers.
