Director Ram’s Peranbu, starring Mammootty and Thanga Meengal-fame Sadhana, opened to rave reviews at its Indian premiere on Sunday at the International Film Festival of India, Goa. After the overwhelming response it received, the film also got a second screening earlier today.

Talking to press at a media interaction in Goa, Director Ram said he was ‘thrilled’ to premiere Peranbu at the festival. He said, “Nature made everyone differently, but treats everyone equally. That's something I wanted to show through Peranbu.” The crux of the film is said to be derived from a question asked by the parent of a child with a disability to Ram.

Peranbu had its international premiere at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and Asian premiere at Shanghai International Film Festival, earlier this year. This is Ram’s fourth film after Kattradhu Tamizh, Thanga Meengal and Taramani
