Priyamani has confirmed she is essaying a naxalite leader in director Venu Udugula's Virata Parvam 1992. A political actioner, the Telugu film also stars Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi.

“Yes, I am playing a naxalite,” Priyamani said in an interview with Cinema Express. “It’s going to be a different kind of film altogether. The only thing I can share at the moment is that it’s a true story. I am also working with Rana’s uncle, Venkatesh sir, on Narappa, the remake of Asuran. Then there are two Telugu reality shows I’m in.”

Additionally, Priyamani has finished filming for her next Kannada project. “I’ve finished Doctor 56, which is a Kannada-Tamil bilingual. It’s based on human trials. We wrapped it up last year and it will probably be released after the lockdown,” she said.

On the Bollywood front, Priyamani’s new film, Ateet, was recently released on Zee5. The supernatural suspense thriller also stars Sanjay Suri and Rajeev Khandelwal. Priyamani will also be seen in The Family Man season 2 and Maidaan
