Priyanka Vadlamani is all set for her debut

She plays one of the female leads in director and producer Akella Peri Srinivas’s rom-com Premaku Raincheck

Hyderabadi actor Priyanka Vadlamani is making her debut with director and producer Akella Peri Srinivas’s rom-com Premaku Raincheck, in which she plays one of the female leads.

“I play Ramya, a simple girl who is confident of her choices. There are many good aspects of my character that any simple girl would be able to relate to it. Personally, I am a calm-going person and always like to be independent. I’m quite fond of my character in this film,” she says.

Much of the film's story revolves around an adventure sports organisation. “I’m a sports freak from childhood. I did trekking, cycling and all other water sports without a body double. Srinivas garu ensured everyone has taken necessary safety precautions before performing these portions,” says Priya.

Even though she is fluent in Telugu, she found it challenging to get the diction right for her character. “It’s difficult to match the effect of the scene and get the emotions. I have realised that what we talk in real life is just one per cent of what we speak in films,”she says.

Priya is all praise for her director and producer, Srinivas. “He is a perfectionist and ensured all of us attend the workshops for months together to get into the skin of the character. That preparation has helped all of us to give our best.”
