Though the director, Favreau did a great job in underplaying his character, Happy Hogan. An example here is when he takes a subpoena on Stark's behalf, who 'doesn't like to be handed things'
Ah, this classic scene. Revealed the true power of the Black Widow in a playful way, at the expense of Happy Hogan.
He may have been the butt of a few jokes. But he's also put in the hard yards. Who knows what could have happened to Iron man if it weren't for Happy in this scene!
Driving and assisting aside, Happy Hogan can smoke the bad guys too. Well, 'smoke' maybe going too far. But at least he tries...:)
Besides being the wing man, he was also a protector. Like in this scene, the skepticism on his face when he has to leave Pepper Potts with another man is evident.
The cat and mouse relationship with Peter is extremely well-performed by Favreau. They literally hold the comedy throughout the film.
While making a heartfelt apology, Happy gets interrupted. His reaction is priceless.
Tony might have not appreciated Happy at all times, but this here, shows how much he values him, when Happy reveals that he's been carrying Tony's engagement ring from 2008.
Happy was also a cutie-pie of the MCU. I vividly remember fans going 'Awwww' at the theatre when Aunty May turned him down in Far From Home.
And finally, the classic cheeseburger scene. This scene needed boxes of tissues to get through.
