Good American Family's second instalment has added Isabela Merced and Patrick Schwarzenegger to its cast. In Hulu's true crime anthology series, Merced and Schwarzenegger will portray Lorena Bobitt, and her one-time husband, John Bobbitt, respectively.
This limited series is based on the infamous 1993 incident in Virginia, where Lorena severed her husband's genitals while he was asleep, following an alleged history of domestic abuse and a sexual assault that she claimed had occurred earlier that night. From indecent jokes to gender war, this incident sparked a lot of attention.
The creative team from the first season is returning for the second installment. Katie Robbins is creating and writing the series, and also serves as an executive producer with Ellen Pompeo, who starred in the first season. Pompeo played Ukrainian orphan Natalia Grace Barnett in a bizarre adoption story.
Popular for playing Dina in HBO's Last of Us, Merced also starred as the Hawkgirl in James Gunn's Superman, Turtles All the Way Down, and Alien: Romulus. In addition to the next installments of The Last of Us and Superman (Man of Tomorrow), Merced will also be seen in The House of the Dead, Psyche, and Ibelin. Patrick Schwarzenegger also has a very busy line-up that includes Old Friends New Friends, Bunker, The Bookie and The Bruiser (dual role), and Beach Read.
