Tina Fey, Colman Domingo, their partners and Steve Carell's partners are back on vacations, mourning the lattermost's demise and the birth of his child in the trailer for The Four Seasons 2. Will Forte, Marco Calvani, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Erika Henningsen also star in the series.

The group are back on vacation, but they terribly miss Steve Carell's character. His ex-wife and his pregnant girlfriend are also a part of these holidays, as they adapt to each other along the way. Eventually Steve's child is also born, introducing more chaos and humorous conflict in the story.

The official synopsis of season 2 reads, "The friends reunite for four new seasonal get-togethers as they process a personal loss and embrace the regrets and reinventions of middle age."

The series is based on the 1981 film of the same name, penned and helmed by Alan Alda. Fey has co-created the adaptation with Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield. Universal TV is producing The Four Seasons. Alda, Marissa Bregman and Martin Bregman will serve as the producers.

Netflix renews The Four Seasons for another season

Season 1 of The Four Seasons followed three couples navigating life, love, and loyalty after Nick announces, at the start of their group vacation, that he’s leaving his wife, Anne. What ensues is a delicate dance of divided loyalties and deeply buried tensions that slowly unravel across four seasonal vacations.

Each pair of episodes in Season 1 focused on a different getaway: spring, summer, fall, and winter, with new settings sparking new revelations. The finale shook things up dramatically, with (spoiler alert) Steve Carell dying in a car crash and his girlfriend discovering she’s pregnant, leaving plenty of storylines open for exploration in Season 2.

David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond executive produce The Four Seasons series along with Fey, Fisher and Wigfield. The second season is all set to premiere on Netflix on May 28.
