Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros, directed by Savin SA from a Vipin Das screenplay is all set to arrive on OTT, weeks after its blockbuster theatrical run.
Vaazha 2, a spiritual sequel to the first part, explores the same themes of the original which revolves around carefree youngsters navigating pressure from their families and other members of society. The film focuses on a fresh set of characters - Hashir, Vinayak, Alan and Ajin - even as many of the original cast members reprise their roles. It has capitalised on the popularity of social media content creators such.
Besides the actors mentioned above, the film also stars Biju Kuttan, Vijay Babu, Alphonse Puthren, Aju Varghese, Ameen, and Angel Maria.
Released earlier this month, Vaazha II earned positive reviews and commercial success, earning over Rs 120 crores in Kerala alone. It recently became the highest-grossing film ever in the state, overtaking Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra and also moving ahead of Mohanlal’s Thudarum.
Interestingly, Vaazha II is the third Malayalam film released since 2000 to sell more than 80 lakh tickets in Kerala, after Mohanlal-starrers Narasimham and Pulimurugan.
