Aashram, the popular Amazon MX Player series starring Bobby Deol in the lead, will soon be back with its fourth season. The upcoming season recently went on floors with a muhurat.
Aashram creator and director Prakash Jha took to his Instagram page to make the announcement. Sharing a picture from the muhurat ceremony that features the clapboard, the filmmaker captioned the post, “Ek Aur aarambh. Aashram ke naye adhyay mein aapka swagat hai. Japnaam. (Another new beginning. Welcome to you all in this new chapter of Aashram. God Bless.) Aashram 4 now filming.”
Besides Bobby, season 4 will also have actors like Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aaditi Pohankar, Tridha Choudhury, Parinitaa Seth, Khan Jahangir Khan, Tanmay Ranjan, Sachin Shroff, and Preeti Sood reprising their roles from previous seasons. Meanwhile, new additions to the lead cast include Neetu Chandra Srivastava, Pankhuri Gidwani, Armaan Parikh, Dhruv Chaudhary, and Akshay Oberoi.
In the technical team, Aashram season 4 will have Chandan Kowli as the cinematographer, Santosh Mandal as the editor, and Priyanka Mundada as the costume designer. Advait Nemlekar is the music director. Aashram is being jointly produced by Dishaa Jha under Prakash Jha Pictures and Rishabh Kohli under Parivartan Pictures.
Aashram, which had its season 1 premiere in August 2020, became instantly popular and had its second season premiere within four months. The third season of the series was released in two parts — first in June 2022, followed by February 2025. Besides Aashram, Prakash Raj’s other recent directorial projects include Sankalp, the political thriller which marked Nana Patekar’s OTT debut and which premiered in March this year.
Meanwhile, Bobby Deol was recently seen in films like Bandar and Alpha. The former, directed by Anurag Kashyap, is set for OTT premiere next week on ZEE5, on August 28.
