Tu Yaa Main, the survival thriller starring Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav in lead roles that released on February 13, now has an OTT premiere date. The film will begin streaming on Netflix on April 10, exactly 8 weeks after its theatrical release.
While the streamer hasn’t officially announced it yet, one can see the film’s listing on the streamer, scheduled for April 10 premiere. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Tu Yaa Main told the story of a young couple that has eloped from their families but ends up being stuck without help, in a pool where their only company is a crocodile.
Produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Vinod Bhanushali, and Kamlesh Bhanushali under Colour Yellow Productions and Bhanushali Studios, Tu Yaa Main largely received positive reviews from critics and audience. At the box office, however, the film didn’t perform well despite a modest budget. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the survival thriller garnered 8.47 crore (nett) at domestic box office.
In our review for the film, we noted, “What it lacks in its scriptwriting, it more than makes up with its commitment to its territory — and Bejoy Nambiar doesn’t keep it subtle or understated by any standards. The violence is grotesque, the stakes are high, and the deaths shockingly unexpected.”
