Pasupathy's Kuttram Purindhavan series to debut on OTT on this date
Noted director RK Selvamani's upcoming OTT series Kuttram Purindhavan, starring Pasupathy in the lead, has locked a release date. The intense crime drama is all set to premiere on SonyLIV platform on December 5. The show promises "a tense, character-driven narrative filled with twists, moral dilemmas, and the search for redemption."
The trailer for the series, which was unveiled last month, opened with a man seeking help from Pasupathy to save his young daughter who had many wounds in her body, hinting at sexual assault. A perplexed and horrified Pasupathy, who plays Bhaskar, is unaware of what to do and how to deal with the issue. Later, it is known that the girl went missing a few days ago and her mother Esther (Lakshmipriyaa Chandramouli) trying all that she can to search for her daughter. A complaint is filed and the cops too begin to investigate the case. Vidaarth also plays a police constable in the film.
The trailer also revealed that Bhaskar's son was suffering from a neurological issue that needed urgent surgery. He is in the verge of retirement, but isn't able to gather the money for the treatment. A series of events later, Bhaskar and his family are tied to events that cause various ripple effects in their life, essentially putting them in grave danger. It is clear that Bhaskar's good deed had gone wrong and that he now bears a burden, the guilt of which is too heavy to bear or hide.
Kuttram Purindhavan also stars Lizzie Antony, Munnar Ramesh and Ajit Koshy in key roles. The series is produced by Happy Unicorn/Aqubulls.
