Akash Murali-Aditi Shankar's Nesippaya gets OTT release date

Months after its release, director Vishnuvardhan's romantic action film Nesippaya, starring debutant Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar in lead roles, is finally dropping on OTT. Sun NXT had announced on their social media handles that the film will release on their platform on May 16.

Upon release on January 14, Nesippaya received mixed reviews. Our CE review read, "With a love story which turns into a crime drama set in a foreign land, Vishnu Varadhan has tried to pull out all the stops to ensure that Nesippaya is a unique addition to the romance genre. However, with a familiar romance plotline, and underwhelming screenplay, the film leaves a lot to be desired.

The film also starred Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Khushbu Sundar, Raja, Kalki Koechlin, and Shiv Panditt in prominent roles.

Nesippaya marked the director's tenth film and was backed by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators.

Nesippaya had cinematography by Om Prakash and Cameron Bryson, along with editing by Sreekar Prasad, production design by Saravanan Vasanth, and lyrics by Pa Vijay.
