On Tuesday, Netflix announced the premiere date for their upcoming female-led dark comedy limited series, Sirens. The five-episode series will premiere on May 22.

The series is created by Molly Smith Metzler, the Emmy-nominated writer and showrunner, and executive produced by LuckyChap. Netflix also unveiled a few first-look images featuring the series' lead cast, Julianne Moore, Kevin Bacon, Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock.

According to Netflix, the official description of Sirens is, "Devon thinks her sister Simone has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell. Michaela’s life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention."

Michaela, Devon and Simone are played by Moore, Fahy and Alcock, respectively. Glenn Howerton, Bill Camp and Felix Solis round out the cast of Sirens. Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie will executive produce for LuckyChap along with Metzler herself for Quiet Coyote. The first two episodes will be helmed by Emmy nominee Nicole Kassell, who is also an executive producer of the show.

Sirens is the first series from Metzler's creative partnership with Netflix, launched in 2022. It follows her critically acclaimed limited series Maid, starring Margaret Qualley, which marked her debut project with the streaming giant.
