Sankranthiki Vasthunam to premiere on television and OTT simultaneously on this date

The makers of Sankranthiki Vasthunam announced that the film is set to have its television and OTT premiere simultaneously on March 1 on Zee Telugu and Zee5 at 6 pm. The Venkatesh-starrer, which was released on the occasion of Sankranti, garnered positive responses from the audience as well as critics. The film collected Rs 253 crore gross worldwide, according to Sacnilk. 

Sankranthiki Vasthunam, written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, follows Venkatesh as an ex-cop caught in a comical mission to save an important person but the catch is the mission entails juggling between his wife, played by Aishwarya Rajesh, and his ex-girlfriend, portrayed by Meenaakshi Chaudhary. The film’s music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.   

Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, Sankranthiki Vasthunam features an ensemble cast including Avasarala Srinivas, Sai Kumar, Naresh, and Rajendra Prasad. Sameer Reddy cranked the camera and AS Prakash took care of production design, while S Krishna and G Adhinarayana acted as co-writers.

Our CE review of the film reads, "There comes a point in the second half when the barrage of silly gags almost gets exhausting. Fortunately, Anil Ravipudi sails through despite the occasional sense of overdose. Though the climax again leaves a weird taste in the mouth (who needed a sermon about respecting your teachers in a film like this?), your first instinct is to let it slide, considering how rewarding the film has been so far."

During a promotional interview for the film, director Anil Ravipudi hinted at the film’s sequel. He said, “There’s a huge possibility. This template has worked well. It can be placed in another situation. The title will be Malli Sankranthiki Vasthunam”
