Bob Odenkirk's latest action thriller Nobody 2 has finally arrived on OTT after months of wait. Directed by Timo Tjahjanto from a screenplay by Derek Kolstad and Aaron Rabin, the film can now be streamed on JioHotstar.
The film is set four years after the events of Nobody (2021) and follows Hutch Mansell working as a hitman to pay off his debts to the Russian mob. While on vacation with his family at Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark, Plummerville, his encounter with some town bullies drags him into the middle of a major drug operation.
With Odenkirk, the rest of the cast of Nobody 2 includes Connie Nielsen, John Ortiz, Gage Munroe, Paisley Cadorath, RZA, Colin Salmon, Colin Hanks, Christopher Lloyd, and Sharon Stone.
Upon release in August, the film was met with mostly positive reviews from critics. Our CE review of the film read, "As the credits roll, we aren’t sure if we watched a film with a plot and character development or if we just sat back and witnessed the live streaming of a violent video game, with countless others egging on the murderous rampage, feeling a sense of collective catharsis. Nevertheless, Nobody 2 feels more like a reprise than a sequel. It needs a lot more freshness and a screenplay structure that doesn’t rely on milking the novelty of seeing Bob Odenkirk play a poker-faced assassin, which is now starting to wear thin."
Kolstad had also written the story for Nobody 2. David Hyman served as an executive producer. Braden Aftergood, Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Marc Provissiero, and Bob Odenkirk had backed the film. 87North, Eighty Two Films, and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment were the banners producing the film.
