The trailer of Bharath and Janani's romantic drama Ippadiku Kadhal, directed by Bharath Mohan, has been released by the makers of the film. The triangular love story also features debutant actor Sonakshi in a pivotal role. The film is all set to hit OTT platform Aha on February 9.
The one-and-a-half-minute-long trailer showcases Bharath having a relationship with Janani and then with Sonakshi, hinting that one might be in the past and one would be in the present. As he goes on to buy a ring, Bagavathi Perumal asks him to whom the ring is for. Bharath is also shown to be hiding something and shielding himself off from expressing his emotions. The final frame leaves an open-ended question to the audience as to whom Bharath would marry.
In a previous conversation with CE, director Bharath Mohan said, "Both Bharath and Sonakshi come from a depressing past in the film. One of them is Tamil, while the other is from Kolkata. Life is cruel to both of them and they are unable to move away from it. Ippadiku Kadhal explores the complications that arise when both of them come together in a relationship."
Ippadiku Kadhal is expected to touch upon the themes of acceptance, moving on with life after love, and mature adult friendship.
Apart from Bharath, Janani, and Sonakshi, the cast also features Pandiarajan, Bagavathi Perumal, Gnanasambandan, and Niranjani.
On the technical front, Ippadiku Kadhal has cinematography by Ballu and music by Arol Corelli. The editing is handled by Prasanna GK. Ippadiku Kadhal is produced by Sabareesh Kumar under the banner of Meraki Entertainment.
