Citadel: Diana trailer: Diana becomes an undercover agent to avenge her parents' murder

Prime Video unveiled the trailer for Citadel: Diana, the second series in the Citadel franchise. This chapter is an addition to the Citadel universe the streaming platform is creating. Actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan will play the lead roles in the Indian chapter, while actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden are the prominent cast in the main installment of the global franchise.

The trailer shows Matilda De Angelis as Diana, who is behind those who caused the deaths of her parents. She is then offered to join and work for the spy agency Citadel, for which, in return, she will get to avenge her parents' deaths. 

The official description of Citadel: Diana reads, "Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel agent, is trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who’s vying for leadership against the other European families." 

Directed by Arnaldo Catinari, Citadel: Diana is developed by Alessandro Fabbri who wrote the series along with  Ilaria Bernardini, Laura Colella, Gianluca Bernardini, and Giordana Mari. Others part of the cast include Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz, and Filippo Nigro.

Citadel is a spy action drama series which revolves around global spy agency which is destroyed by operatives of Manticore. While two spies, Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) have their memories wiped off, they remain hidden and start building new identities. But as the past revisits them, trouble brews for the spies.

Citadel: Diana is all set to premiere on Prime Video on October 10.
