The trailer for the second season of Disney+ Hotstar's Goosebumps was unveiled by the streamer on Sunday. Titled Goosebumps: The Vanishing, the series stars David Schwimmer in the lead role.

The official synopsis of Goosebumps: The Vanishing reads, "The season begins when twins Devin and Cece Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad. A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994."

The TV series, created by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman, is based on R L Stine's book series. The first season premiered in October of last year and was renewed for another season in February. The official synopsis of the first season reads, "A group of five high schoolers embark on a shadowy and twisted journey to investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle — while also unearthing dark secrets from their parents' past."

Goosebumps: The Vanishing also stars Sam McCarthy , Jayden Bartels, Elijah M. Cooper, Galilea La Salvia, Francesca Noel, and Arjun Athalye.  Stoller and Letterman are also the show's executive producers. The second season of the anthology series is all set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on January 10.
