Prime Video unveiled the trailer for their upcoming historical fiction series, My Lady Jane, on Tuesday. Starring Emily Bader and Edward Bluemel in lead roles, the series is based on the historical young adult novels by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand and Jodi Meadows, which provided a reimagining of the life of Lady Jane Grey.

The trailer shows the possibility of Lady Jane Grey escaping her execution, and trying to extend her reign by more than 9 days. Of course, the process is not so simple, as she is met with love, lust, rebellion, struggle and more.

The role of Jane Grey is performed by debutante Emily Bader. Edward Bluemel will play Guildford Dudley opposite Bader. Jordan Peters brings King Edward VI to life, while Dominic Cooper portrays the enigmatic Lord Seymour. Anna Chancellor takes on the role of Jane's ambitious mother, Lady Frances Grey, and Rob Brydon plays the influential Lord Dudley. Jim Broadbent essays the role of Jane's uncle, the Duke of Leicester. Henry Ashton portrays Guildford's brother, Stan, while Isabella Brownson and Robyn Betteridge round out the Grey family as Jane's sisters. The royal court is filled out by Kate O'Flynn as Princess Mary and Abbie Hern as Princess Bess. The supporting cast includes Máiréad Tyers, Joe Klocek, and Michael Workeye.

Gemma Burgess is the creator, co-showrunner and executive producer of My Lady Jane, who works along with Meredith Glynn. Five out of eight episodes are helmed by Jamie Babbit, who is also an executive producer along with Sarah Bradshaw and Laurie MacDonald.

My Lady Jane is all set to premiere on Prime Video on June 27.
