‘Qatra Qatra’ song from Ae Watan Mere Watan was released by the makers on Saturday. It is an energetic song invoking the values of patriotism during the time of freedom struggle. The film is directed by Kannan Iyer and written by Darab Farooqui along with Kannan. It stars Sara Ali Khan, Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O'Nell and Anand Tiwari in pivotal roles along with a special guest appearance by Emraan Hashmi.
The song features glimpses from the film where Sara plays the role of Usha Mehta, a freedom fighter who stood against the British by strengthening her voice through radio. There are visuals of protests on the streets of Mumbai during the early 1940s. With vocals by Sukhwinder Singh and music by Mukund Suryawanshi, the lyrics for the song are written by Mukund Suryawanshi, Ravi Girri & Rohan Deshmukh.
Ae Watan Mere Watan is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra. It is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 21.
