Actor Sol Rodriguez, best known for her role in Star Trek: Picard and David Denman, who was recognised for playing Roy Anderson in The Office series, have been cast in Peacemaker season 2.
While Rodriguez is set to play Sasha Bordeaux, who debuted in the comics in 2000’s Detective Comics No. 751 and is known as a Batman ally, Denman’s role is kept under wraps.
DC Studios co-chief James Gunn will direct three episodes of season two of Peacemaker, which centers on John Cena’s Christopher Smith. Season 2 will continue to explore the escapades of the titular antihero. This compellingly vainglorious man believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. Apart from directing, Gunn has written all the eight episodes of the upcoming series.
Apart from Cena, the cast of Peacemaker season 2 also stars Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland and Steve Agee.
Gunn along with Peter Safran serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Peacemaker is produced by Gunn’s Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
An Argentinian actor, Rodriguez is best known for her recurring role as Doctor Teresa Ramirez in the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard. She also headlined the Netflix rom-com Holiday in the Vineyards. Up next, she has the indie crime drama The Sheriff coming up. Denman previously worked in the Gunn-produced feature Brightburn and was seen alongside Queen Latifah in The Equalizer 3. He has also worked with Michael Bay in 13 Hours and Tim Burton in Big Fish. On TV, he was recently seen in Bosch: Legacy and also had a notable role in Benedict Cumberbatch's Netflix series Eric. Denman's other TV credits include Mare of Easttown.
