Actor Daryl McCormack, known for his roles in Good Luck to You and Peaky Blinders, has joined the cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

He will star alongside the previously announced additions of Daniel Craig, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Jeremy Renner and Mila Kunis.

Rian Johnson, who helmed the first two films, namely Knives Out and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, is returning to write and direct the third film. He is also set to produce the film with his partner, Ram Bergman under the T-Street Pictures banner.

In the original 2019 Knives Out, Benoit Blanc attempts to figure out who killed the renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey. The sequel, Glass Onion, centred on a tech billionaire's private island murder mystery game. Craig is reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc in the upcoming film.

Plot details for the upcoming film is yet to be revealed, but Johnson and Craig have teased that it is Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.” The film is set to begin production soon and is slated to release on Netflix in 2025.

Apart from Good Luck to You, Leo Grande and Peaky Blinders, Daryl McCormack is known for his roles in Sharon Horgan’s Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters and will be seen in the upcoming Universal’s disaster epic Twisters which is set for a theatrical release in July.
