Damsel Trailer: Millie Bobby Brown goes on a quest for survival and revenge

Netflix dropped the trailer for the much-awaited film Damsel, starring Millie Bobby Brown in the lead role. 

The almost three-minute-long trailer shows the Enola Holmes actor all set to marry a handsome prince of a kingdom. But when the wedding takes place, she is lured to a secret spot where she is dropped off a cliff to be sacrificed to pay off an ancient debt. She wakes up in a cave and finds dangerous creatures including a fire-spitting dragon. Elodie, in her quest for survival, makes use of available resources to fight for all those who were sacrificed in the cave and take revenge against those who wronged her.

The official logline of the film reads, “A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.”

The film also stars Angela Bassett, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Brooke Carter, and Shohreh Aghdashloo. Damsel is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, with Dan Mazeau serving as the writer. Backed by Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, Chris Castaldi

The film has Emily Wofle as the co-producer and Millie Bobby Brown as one of the executive producers. 

Damsel is all set to hit Netflix on March 8.
