Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) gets OTT release date

After getting a massive response at the theatres, Pop sensation Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) is all set to begin its OTT journey.

The concert film will stream on the OTT platform Disney+ and will include five songs that were not available in the theatrical or digital versions, as per Variety.

Sharing the news on her Instagram handle, Taylor said, "The singer herself took to Instagram to share the news with her followers. Sharing some exclusive posters for the film, she wrote, “his week is truly the best kind of chaos. I’m thrilled to let you know I’ve found a streaming home for The Eras Tour Concert Film, and that home will be Disney Plus. For the first time, we’ll be showing the entire concert (including 'Cardigan', plus 4 additional songs from the acoustic section!!) and I’m calling it, a huge shock, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version). Available starting March 15 which is actually very soon.”

Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour film earned $261.7 million at the global box office after its broad theatrical launch on October 13, making it the highest-grossing concert film to date. The film was shot at the first three LA concerts of the pop sensation’s Eras tour from August 3 to 5, 2023.

The Eras Tour concert film had the widest domestic release for a concert film (opening in more than 3,850 locations) and the highest opening weekend domestically for a concert film, surpassing Miley Cyrus’ “Best of Both Worlds Concert” from 2008. The cultural phenomena has helped the icon to enter her billionaire era. The 33-year-old’s net worth is now roughly more than $1.1 billion, the Bloomberg News analysis found.

The newly expanded version of The Eras Tour will hit Disney worldwide on March 15, 2024.
