Richa Chadha on Sanjay Leela Bhansali: His signature style has always resonated with me

Actor Richa Chadha opened up recently on collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and said that his signature style has always resonated with her. She will be seen in Bhansali’s OTT debut series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar where she plays the role of lovelorn courtesan Lajjo.

Speaking about their relationship, Richa said, "Sanjay and I share a deep connection as old souls who harbour a profound love and respect for classic art forms, ranging from music to dance to the cinematic craft itself. His signature style, characterized by grandiose sets and extravagant song sequences, has always resonated with me."

This will be her second collaboration with the director after Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela (2013).

Heeramandi also stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal. It will also mark the comebacks of Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman and his son Adhyayan Suman. The series will premiere on Netflix on May 1.
