Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly starring Dark Matter series trailer out

The sci-fi thriller will stream on Apple TV + from May 8

Trailer of the Apple webseries Dark Matter has released on Thursday. The series stars Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly in the lead.

The sci-fi thriller is based on the novel written by Blake Crouch of the same name in 2016. crouch will also be the showrunner of this series.

Dark Matter is about Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton), a physicist in Chicago, who gets warped into another version of life and trying to get back to his older self doing no harm to his family. The trailer shows Dessen ending up living another version of his life by entering a vault. The video elaborates there are several such vaults representing the kind of life Dessen could have possibly lived but has not.

The series was first announced to be under development in December 2020, but Apple TV+ officially launched it in March 2022.

The series, containing eight episodes, will begin streaming at May 8 with two episodes and rest of the episodes would be streamed on subsequent Wednesdays till June 19.

In addition to Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly, Dark Matter stars Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Oakes Fegley and Dayo Okenyi.

Louis Leterrier, best known for directing the Transporter films, The Incredible Hulk, Now You See Me and TV series Lupin, will helm the first four episodes. Dark Matter is produced under the Sony Pictures banner with Joel Edgerton, Blake Crouch, David Manpearl and Matt Tolmach as the executive producers.
