
Netflix released the trailer of the upcoming film City Hunter, which is based on Tsukasa Hojo’s best-selling manga series. Helmed by Yuichi Satoh, the film stars Ryohei Suzuki as Ryo Saeba in the lead role.
The official description reads, "After receiving a cryptic message, Ryo and Hideyuki, known as the “City Hunter”, set out to search for Kurumi, a famous cosplayer. When Hideyuki is tragically killed during the investigation, his sister Kaori demands answers about her brother’s untimely demise. The plot thickens as it’s revealed that the mysterious drug “Angel Dust” is at the heart of the violent incidents plaguing Shinjuku, and Kurumi is key to unlocking the truth behind it. This revelation sets Ryo and Kaori on a quest to uncover the truth shrouding Hideyuki’s death."
City Hunter also features Misato Morita as Kaori, Masanobu Ando as Hideyuki Makamura, and Fumino Kimura as Saeko Nogami (police detective) in prominent roles. Asuka Hanamura, Ayame Misaki, Moemi Katayama, Tetta Sugimoto and Takaya Sakoda are also part of the cast.
City Hunter is all set to hit Netflix on April 25.
