Bodkin trailer: Podcasters investigating a small-town disappearance uncover bizarre secrets

On Tuesday, Netflix unveiled the trailer of Bodkin, the upcoming dark comedy thriller series starring Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen and Robyn Cara in lead roles.

The official synopsis of the series reads, "Bodkin is a darkly comedic thriller about a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in an idyllic, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined."

David Wilmot, Chris Walley, Seán Óg Cairns, Peter Bankole, and Kerri McLean round out the cast of Bodkin. The thriller series is created by British writer Jez Scharf. The trailer hints at a story that is equal parts funny, eerie, mysterious and thrilling.

Bodkin is created by Jez Scharf and Alex Metcalf, with Nash Edgerton directing some episodes and Mike O'Leary contributing to the writing. Bodkin will premiere on Netflix on May 9.
