Odessa Young and Ciaran Hinds join the cast of The Narrow Road to the Deep North

Earlier, we had reported that actor Jacob Elordi would be headlining an upcoming limited series, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, for Prime Videos. The series is an adaptation of Richard Flanagan's Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name. It has now been learned that actors Odessa Young (Shirley) and Ciarán Hinds ( Belfast) have joined the series' cast. 

The Narrow Road to the Deep North also stars Thomas Weatherall, Olivia DeJonge, Simon Baker, Heather Mitchell, Show Kasamatsu, and Charles An

In the series, Elordi will be playing the main character in the series named, Dorrigo Evans. Evans is an army surgeon who develops a love affair with his uncle's young wife, Amy. This relationship continues to haunt him during his hardest time, WWII, when he doubles up as the leader of men-held prisoners in a Thai-Burmese camp. Odessa Young will portray the character Amy Mulvaney, and Ciarán Hinds will play the older Dorrigo. 

Shaun Grant has adapted the book for the screen, and it will be directed by Justin Kurzel, whose popular credits include The Turning and Macbeth
