A Mexico spin-off of Prime Video's The Boys series is reportedly in the works. The Spanish-language spin-off is currently being developed by Amazon, and it will be set in Mexico City.
While the exact plot details are yet to be disclosed, it is known that The Boys is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers of the original series.
The spin-off will also be produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, who recently wrote the screenplay for DC's Blue Beetle, is set to write this version of The Boys.
The original show stars Jack Quaid, Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Laz Alonso, and Karen Fukuhara in lead roles. With the release date of the fourth season yet to be announced by the makers, the first three seasons are available to stream on Prime Video.
