Prime Video, on Wednesday, announced that their upcoming web series Dhootha, which marks actor Naga Chaitanya's debut series, is all set to premiere on the platform on December 1.
A supernatural suspense-thriller series, Dhootha, is helmed by Vikram K Kumar. Sharrath Marar of NorthStar Entertainment is producing the series. Apart from Naga Chaitanya, Dhootha features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Prachi Desai in key roles.
Chaitanya is set to be seen as Sagar, a passionate and successful journalist who finds himself amidst supernatural events that come from mysterious and horrifying deaths. Things take a turn when these supernatural events have an overbearing on his family.
In an official statement, producer Sharrath Mara said, “Dhootha is one of the most ambitious Telugu series, that is a result of countless hours of preparation, immense dedication, and tireless efforts. From the very beginning, we knew we’d have to go above and beyond to realize the full potential of a concept and story as deep, detailed, and elaborate as Vikram envisioned. And we’re thrilled to have the confidence of Naga Chaitanya Akkineni to make his streaming debut with Dhootha, and three extraordinary female protagonists who play such crucial roles in the series."
The technical crew of Dhootha includes music composer Ishaan Chhabra, DOP Mikolaj Sygula and editor Navin Nooli.
