The trailer of Netflix’s limited series The Railway Men based around the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy was unveiled on Monday. Helmed by Shiv Rawail in his directorial debut, the series stars Kay Kay Menon, R. Madhavan, Divyenndu Sharma and Babil Khan.

The trailer tells the story of four men, station master (Kay Kay Menon), a constable (Divyenndu Sharma), a loco pilot (Babil Khan) and a general manager of Railways (R. Madhavan) and how they try to rescue citizens by getting them on a train to leave Bhopal after the Union Carbide plant gas leak. It shows the apathy of the authorities and the callousness of the plant management which led to the tragedy. The trailer also features Dibyendu Bhattacharaya, Raghubir Yadav and Juhi Chawla in pivotal roles.

Aayush Gupta has written the story of The Railway Men, which is backed by YRF Entertainment. The series will have four episodes and will premiere on Netflix on November 18.
