Koffee with Karan: Ajay Devgn recalls the time when Karan Johar was his 'sworn enemy'

Singham-duo Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty will share the coffee couch on the upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan 8. The promo of the episode was released by Disney+ Hotstar and Karan Johar.

In the clip, Karan first asks in the Devgn household what could be the reason if Kajol is not talking to you.

To which he replied: “Waiting for that day.” Karan then asks “do you have a sworn enemy?”

Ajay replies: “Once upon a time, you”. Karan holds his throat in response and says: “I got such a shock”.

For the unversed, Ajay and Karan were at loggerheads when the Shivaay clashed with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in October 2016.

Discussing their experience of working with Ranveer Singh, who plays the ‘notorious’ police officer Simmba in the upcoming film Singham Again, Rohit said that the actor has a “different energy altogether”. Referring to Ranveer as a “volatile actor”, Karan asked Ajay whether he faces any difficulty working with him since he is the complete opposite of the latter. “I either shut his mouth or my ear,” Ajay replied instantly.

In the rapid-fire round, Karan asks Ajay why he is not called to parties anymore. The 54-year-old actor said he does not get invited to parties like before. When the host asks him why the paparazzi don’t flock around him at airports, Ajay quips, “Because I don’t call them anymore.”

Headlined by Ajay Devgn, Singham Again is scheduled to release in August next year. Akshay will also feature in Singham Again, along with other cop verse characters like Simmba (Ranveer Singh). Singham Again will also see new entrants like Deepika Padukone as lady supercop Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya. Kareena Kapoor Khan plays the character of Avni Bajirao Singham in the film.
