Actor Mohanlal on Monday released the making video of his upcoming directorial Barroz on Monday through his social media handles.
With a career spanning over four decades in cinema, Mohanlal is donning the director’s hat for the first time in Barroz. Behind the scenes video shows a glimpse of Mohanlal directing the cast and crew on the sets of Barroz.
Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner, the film stars Mohanlal, Raphael Amargo and Paz Vega, who plays Vasco Da Gama and his wife, respectively, and Shayla McCaffrey, who plays a significant role in the story. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who made his directorial debut with the Mohanlal-starrer Lucifer, is also part of the latter’s directorial.
Billed as a 3D film, Barroz is written by Jijo Punnoose and based on his novel Barroz: Guardian of D' Gama's Treasure. Barroz is reportedly about a man who guards a 400-year-old treasure of Vasco D’Gama.
The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Santosh Sivan, editor A Sreekar Prasad and Lydian Nadhaswaram, a young pianist who won the American television talent show The World’s Best in March 2019, will compose music.
