Nivin Pauly, who is riding high on the success of his recent Onam release Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, is next working on a film with director Nashid Famy. In a recent interview with Variety India, the actor revealed that the film, tentatively titled NP 51, is targeted to hit screens in April next year as a Vishu release.
NP 51 marks the directorial debut of Nashad, who earlier co-wrote Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. He has scripted the new film with Nidhin Nagesh. Billed as a complete family entertainer with humour and romance, it has Rukumini Vasanth as the female lead. The actor, noted for her roles in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello franchise and Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1, is making her Malayalam debut with this film.
NP 51 also stars Aju Varghese in an important role. It is produced by Martin Prakkat alongside Nivin's Pauly Jr Pictures, as well as Siby Chavara and Renjith Nair of Green Room Productions. The technical team includes composer Electronic Kili, cinematographer Bablu Aju, and editor Kannan Mohan.
Nivin's next release will be the long-delayed Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, directed by Ram. Anjali and Soori also star in the film, slated for release on October 1.
Later this year, Nivin is also expected to start working on Vijayam, his much-hyped film with Premam director Alphonse Puthren.
