Actor Suriya will not be attending the promotional event in Kochi for his upcoming Tamil film Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan.
The film's co-producer, production house Zhagaram Studios, announced on social media that, due to unforeseen circumstances, actor Suriya would not be able to attend today's Scene Live in Kochi event. The production house also apologised to his fans and expressed its disappointment over his absence. Additionally, it thanked the fans for their love, support, and understanding.
Scene is expected to be a comedy-action film. It features Suriya as DSP Inbaraj and Nazriya Nazim as Maya. The film marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Nazriya, who is returning to Tamil cinema after 12 years with the film. At a promotional event, Suriya spoke about Nazriya's comeback, thanking her for accepting the role and being part of the film. He also praised her performance, calling her a "Natural Star". Nazriya, meanwhile, described sharing screen space with Suriya as "a dream come true."
Jyotika and Suriya are producing the film through their Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment banners. On the other hand, Jaishree Damodaran serves as a co-producer for the film.
Besides Suriya, Scene stars Naslen and Nazriya Nazim in important roles. The cast includes Anandraj, Lal, and Raj Priyan, among others. There has been much speculation among the audience that Naslen plays an antagonist in the film, but the makers are yet to confirm the same.
