The makers of Jayasurya's upcoming military actioner, Operation Tral, announced the commencement of filming on Saturday. Details regarding the primary cast members have also been shared along with a motion poster.
Irudhi Suttru-fame Ritika Singh, who previously appeared in a special dance number in King of Kotha, will be making her full-fledged Malayalam debut with this film. Vinay Rai, Anegan-fame Amyra Dastur, Siddique, Saikumar, Nandu, and Anson Paul are also part of the cast.
Operation Tral marks the directorial debut of music director Ratheesh Vega, who has also scripted the film. It follows a fatal Kashmir convoy ambush, which spurs intense national pride, blurring the lines between politics and patriotism. Jayasurya plays an intelligence agent who works for the NIA. As per the makers, the film is inspired by many elite intelligence missions in India.
Operation Tral is produced by Joby George Thadathil of the Goodwill Entertainments banner, with Sunimol Joby serving as its co-producer. The film has cinematography by Najose, background score and music by Ratheesh Vega, editing by Shafeeque VB, production design by Sajeesh Thamarassery, and art direction by Suneesh Sodharan.
