The makers of the Joemon Jyothir-starrer Prempaatta unveiled its first look on Tuesday through social media. The poster depicts a hostel room setting with a group of youngsters gathered around Joemon, all holding onto him, while a group of seniors watches them from above a partition wall.
Scripted by author Lijeesh Kumar, the upcoming film is directed by Aamir Pallikkal, who previously helmed Manju Warrier's Ayisha and Suraj Venjaramoodu's ED - Extra Decent.
As per the makers, Prempaatta is a youthful romantic entertainer set against the backdrop of an NSS camp, capturing the camaraderie, romance and nostalgia associated with campus life. Apart from Joemon, the cast includes Saiju Kurup, Siddique, Anusree, Rajesh Madhavan, Sanju Sivram, Irshad Ali, Bibin Perumbilli, Junaiz V P, Saafboi, Hanan Shaah, Aswin Vijayan, Tiss Thomas and Innocent Sonnet.
Prempaatta, currently being shot across Kozhikode and Thrissur, is produced under Aamir’s banner Studio Outsiders, with Central Pictures handling distribution. The film has music composed by Ankit Menon, who also serves as co-producer, cinematography by Renadive, and editing by Akash Joseph Varghese.
Joemon was last seen playing a cameo in Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros, reprising his role from the first instalment of the Vaazha franchise.
