Tovino Thomas has started promotions for his next film Pallichattambi, directed by Dijo Jose Antony and co-starring Kayadu Lohar. During one of these promotional events, Tovino was asked about rumours about a conflict between him and Dulquer Salmaan.
A reporter asked the actor about his name not being mentioned enough during the promotions of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra and whether this has anything to do with a conflict with Dulquer. Tovino laughed off the question and clarified that he is in good terms with Dulquer. "I will ask them why they did not say anything about me," Tovino jokingly told the reporter.
The actor then said that he has known Dulquer for a long time. "I started as an assistant director on a Dulquer Salmaan film, titled Theevram. Then, I acted with Dulquer as a villain on his next film, titled ABCD. He has been the sweetest to me from then to now."
Tovino Thomas also said that he starred in Tharangam, which marked the directorial debut of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra director Dominic Arun. "I have starred in a film titled Thallumaala with Kalyani (Priyadarshan). And Naslen is like a brother to me."
Tovino added that if he recorded the reporter's question and played it to his Lokah co-stars and Dominic Arun, they would all laugh out loud. "I can even show the WhatsApp chats between us, and then you would know what kind of relationship we share. It is easy to light up such rumours and gossips from the outside. However, most of the time, we read such speculation and laugh out. It is very funny," the actor asserted.
Tovino told the reporter to ask the same question when he would come back with Dulquer as part of promotions for his next instalment in the Lokah franchise. Notably, Tovino also played a cameo in Dulquer's film Kurup.
