The title of the upcoming film starring Mammootty and directed by Khalid Rahman will be officially revealed on March 20 at 6 PM, marking a fresh development in a project that had earlier faced uncertainty. The film was first announced in December 2025 as a collaboration between Mammootty, Khalid Rahman and Cubes Entertainments. At the time, it generated considerable interest as the actor and director were set to reunite after their critically and commercially successful 2019 film Unda.
However, the project appeared to stall soon after. In January 2026, the production banner withdrew from the film, and all promotional material related to the announcement was removed from its official social media handles, raising doubts about whether the film would proceed at all.
The film has now been revived and is jointly backed by Khalid Rahman’s home banner Plan B Motion Pictures and Universal Cinemas. While the makers have not explicitly confirmed that this is the same project that was earlier shelved, industry indications strongly suggest that it is.
