Sun NXT had announced the digital premiere of Indrajith Sukumaran's Dheeram on March 6, but it has been postponed due to unknown reasons. Neither the makers nor the platform are yet to issue a statement regarding the same. Amazon Prime Video has also picked up the streaming rights, although the release date remains unknown.
Dheeram, directed by debutant Jithin T Suresh, was released in theatres on December 5. It is scripted by Deepu S Nair and Sandeep Sadanandan, the writing duo behind Ore Mukham, Pushpaka Vimanam and Padakkuthira.
Dheeram is about ACP Stallin Joseph, an encounter specialist investigating a murder in a nightclub parking lot, which soon turns into a serial killer hunt. Indrajith plays the police officer's role, while the cast also includes Divya Pillai, Aju Varghese, Nishanth Sagar, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Reba Monica John, and Renji Panicker in pivotal roles.
On the technical front, it has cinematography by Sougandh Su, editing by Nagooran Ramachandran and music by Manikandan Ayyappa. It is produced by Remosh MS under the Remo Entertainmentz banner, in association with Haris Amabazhathingal of Malabar Talkies.
