The shooting of Kalidas Jayaram's Many Many Happy Returns, directed by Ahammed Khabeer, has been wrapped up. The actor took to social media on Saturday to post a picture with Ahammed, captioning it with a brief note of gratitude.
"Sitting here with my director Ahammed Khabeer, I’m feeling a deep sense of gratitude. Playing the lead in a slice of life film like this has been such a wholesome experience," said Kalidas. The actor was also appreciative of the whole team for "ensuring the ambience was perfectly set" for him to work.
"What made this journey truly special was the environment on set. Every single day, the crew went above and beyond to ensure the ambience was perfectly set for my performance, allowing me to be completely vulnerable and honest in front of the camera. It is truly rare to find a group of people who are as talented as they are , and I feel so fortunate to have worked with such a cool, supportive team and such incredible co-actors who made every scene feel alive," he added.
Kalidas also mentioned the efforts of Jobin John Varghese, the co-writer and a key member in the direction team, cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, music director Govind Vasantha and editor Mahesh Bhuvanend.
Many Many Happy Returns marks the return of director Ahammed to the feel-good genre after helming two instalments of the investigative thriller series Kerala Crime Files. The director's previous credits include June and Madhuram. Sharing the update about the completion of his new film's shooting, Ahammed wrote on social media, "This film is personal. Most special and memorable one I've made."
Kalidas Jayaram was last seen in Malayalam in Aashakal Aayiram, alongside his father Jayaram.
