

Ahead of its theatrical release on June 19, the makers of Balan: The Boy have announced that Zee Music Company has acquired the film's audio rights. The announcement comes after the film was showcased at the Marché du Film section of the Cannes Film Festival. According to the makers, the screening received an enthusiastic response from audiences in attendance.
Directed by Chidambaram and written by Jithu Madhavan, Balan: The Boy is described as a drama exploring themes of identity, belonging and survival. The film has music composed by Sushin Shyam, who reunites with Chidambaram after Manjummel Boys.

Backed by KVN Productions and Thespian Films, Balan: The Boy is set for release in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada on June 19.
