Ansiba Hassan has lodged a police complaint against actor and mimicry artist Tini Tom, accusing him of subjecting her to sustained cyber harassment, spreading defamatory allegations and making communal remarks against her.

The complaint was filed at the Infopark Police Station in Kochi. According to the Drishyam 3 actor, she and her family have been subjected to continuous online abuse and character assassination campaigns. She has also alleged that Tini's actions amounted to insulting her modesty and attempting to communalise personal disputes.

In her complaint, Ansiba claimed that she was being portrayed negatively across social media platforms, WhatsApp groups and even internal communication channels associated with the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). She further alleged that false narratives were being circulated, suggesting that she had influenced certain individuals within the film industry to convert to Islam.

According to the complaint, Tini allegedly discussed in AMMA WhatsApp groups claims that Ansiba had pressured the son of a production controller and another individual working in the industry to embrace Islam. The actor contended that these allegations were fabricated and intended to tarnish her reputation.

The latest complaint comes amid an escalating public dispute between the two actors. Ansiba had earlier accused Tini of attempting to brand her a "Jihadi" and using her religious identity as a weapon to settle personal scores. She had alleged that, unable to find any other grounds to target her, he chose to exploit her Muslim identity and create a communal narrative around the issue.

Speaking recently to the media, Ansiba said Tini's actions had affected not only her personally but also an entire community. "He has not wronged only me. He has wronged an entire community. Especially in a secular state like Kerala, what he has done is extremely wrong," she said, adding that such actions sent a dangerous message to society.

Ansiba has also maintained that she has little faith in AMMA's existing grievance redressal mechanisms. Reiterating her earlier position, she said she would not appear before the organisation's committee, claiming she could not expect justice from a body that she believes has already taken sides in the dispute.

Meanwhile, the police investigation into Ansiba's separate complaint against actor Lakshmipriya and Thrippunithura Women's Cell Sub-Inspector Reshma is gathering pace. Police are expected to record statements from additional witnesses, including officers who were on duty at the Thrippunithura station on the day of the alleged incident. Lakshmipriya's husband has also reportedly been asked to provide a statement.

The developments come as Kerala's Minister for Tourism, Culture and Cinema, PC Vishnunath, is scheduled to hold discussions with representatives of various film organisations in Thiruvananthapuram. While the meeting has been convened ahead of the state budget to discuss issues concerning the film industry, attention is also likely to focus on the ongoing controversy within AMMA and whether the government will intervene in the matter.

Tini has previously denied Ansiba's allegations and challenged her to pursue legal remedies if she believes she has been wronged. He has not yet publicly responded to the latest police complaint.
