

On Wednesday night, KVN Productions shared a video and a still featuring Mani Ratnam and his wife Suhasini at a special screening of its film Balan: The Boy. In the video, Mani Ratnam can be seen patting producer Shailaja Desai Fenn's husband Satish Fenn on his back and shaking hands with him. In the caption for the post, KVN Productions wrote, "When a master storyteller appreciates your story, it means the world. Thank you, Mani Ratnam Sir, for your kind words about Balan: The Boy."
In a separate post, Satish Fenn said that the moment is special for him for a specific reason. He wrote, "Started in the business in production with the movie Guru. Today was able to showcase our debut production Balan: The Boy to my vaathiyaar Mani Ratnam sir and Suhasini ma'am."
Satish also revealed what Mani Ratnam and Suhasini said about the film after it was screened to them. "After watching the film, Mani sir and Suhasini ma'am said, 'It's a very fine film and makes us proud, Fenn.'"
It is worth noting that Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions produced Balan: The Boy alongside Shailaja Desai Fenn of Thespian Films.
Directed by Chidambaram from a screenplay by Jithu Madhavan, the film stars Adhisheshan in the titular role and Farzana Palathingal as his mother. Its story follows the mother and son, bound by love, protected by lies, and set apart by fate. They must navigate the secrets regarding their past lives in an intense search for truth and redemption. The film also has actors Muhammed Zinaan, Dolly June, Jean Paul Lal, Beena Antony, Tovino Thomas, Premalu fame filmmaker Girish AD, and so forth.
According to a Sacnilk report, it has earned more than 30 crore from theatres worldwide.
