The shooting of Dileep's new film, tentatively titled D 152, has been wrapped up. Veteran filmmaker Shaji Kailas's son Jagan Shaji Kailas is directing the film.
After completing the shooting, Jagan wrote on social media, "Lights out. Set quiet. Heart full. We didn't just make a movie; we lived one. To the tireless souls behind the camera and the brilliant ones in front of it thank you for giving this story a heartbeat."
Following the film's launch last November, the team shot for around 60 days. Vibin Balachandran is scripting the film, which, according to the makers, is a "gripping thriller told through a unique narrative style.”
Veena Nandakumar, who had earlier acted alongside Dileep in Voice of Sathyanathan, is the female lead in D 152. The cast also includes Binu Pappu, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Kerala Crime Files 2 fame Sirajudheen Nazar, Sudheer Sukumaran, and Remya Suresh.
Cinematographer Ajay David Kachappilly, editor Sooraj E S, and composer Mujeeb Majeed form the core technical crew. It is produced by Sandip Senan and Alex E Kurian under the banners Urvassi Theatres and Kaka Stories, respectively, with Sangeeth Senan and Nimitha Francis M serving as co-producers.
Meanwhile, Jagan Shaji Kailas's directorial debut, a cop investigative thriller starring Siju Wilson, has been in the can for over two years now. Although its shooting was completed in August 2023, the film, scripted by Nizhal fame S Sanjeev, is yet to see the light of day due to some unknown reasons.
