The first film under Antony Varghese Pepe’s production banner has been officially announced, with social media talent Addis Akkara set to play the lead role. Further announcements regarding the new film’s title, director, technical crew, and additional cast members are expected soon.
Addis gained recognition as the male runner-up on a reality television talent show Nayika Nayakan, alongside State Award-winning actor Vincy Aloshious, who finished as the female runner-up. The winners and runner-ups of the show, including Addis, went on to play pivotal roles in the 2022 film Solomante Theneechakal, which was directed by Lal Jose, one of the judges on the show.
As an actor, Antony’s upcoming slate includes debutant Paul George’s Kattalan, slated for May 14, the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer I’m Game, which reunites the actor with RDX director Nahas Hidhayath, Rishi Sivakumar’s Thottam opposite Keerthy Suresh, and Anchakkallakokkan director Ullas Chemban’s second film Disco, co-starring Arjun Ashokan, Lukman Avaran, Chemban Vinod Jose and Sreenath Bhasi.
