

The Parvathy Thiruvothu-led Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar has begun production on Friday, following a traditional pooja ceremony attended by the cast and crew. Directed by Shahad, who earlier helmed films such as Prakashan Parakkatte and Anuragam, the upcoming investigative thriller set against the backdrop of a police station marks Parvathy’s first outing as a cop in Malayalam cinema. She previously played a police officer in Prime Video’s Telugu series Dhootha, co-starring Naga Chaitanya.
Jointly scripted by PS Subramaniam and Vijesh Thottingal, Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar will be shot across Kottayam and Ernakulam. The film's cast includes Vijayaraghavan and Mathew Thomas in key roles, with Sidharth Bharathan, Unnimaya Prasad, Azeez Nedumangad and Vinay Forrt also in supporting parts. The technical crew comprises cinematographer Roby Varghese Raj, editor Chaman Chakko, composer Mujeeb Majeed and action director Kalai Kingson. Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar is produced by Arjun Selva under the banner of 11 Icons Film Production.
Parvathy, who recently wrapped up the shoot of Don Palathara's upcoming film co-starring Dileesh Pothan, also has Nissam Basheer’s i, Nobody alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran as part of her upcoming slate. She is also part of the Hindi web series Storm for Prime Video, produced by Hrithik Roshan.
