Actor Nileen Sandra, known for her performances and writing stints in multiple Karikku web series, has announced that she is set to marry filmmaker Shyamin Gireesh. The actor shared the joyful news with her followers on social media, posting a heartwarming video featuring moments with her fiance along with a deeply personal note.
In her announcement, Nileen described her partner as a blessing sent into her life years ago. Reflecting on their journey, she wrote that in 2017, he came into her life not as a lover but as her best friend. Years later, that friendship has blossomed into a lifelong commitment. “They say when God decides to bless a woman, He sends her a man who knows how to cherish her soul and treat her right. In 2017, He sent me mine — not as a lover, but as my best friend. And now, years later, I am walking toward forever with the very man who once walked beside me as my best friend. I’m not just getting married… I’m marrying the blessing God sent me long ago,” she wrote. The announcement was met with an outpouring of love from friends and colleagues, many of whom congratulated the couple in the comments section.
Nileen rose to prominence through her work in the popular Malayalam web platform Karikku. She later appeared in Krishand's National Award-winning film Aavasavyuham, followed by a notable turn with her portrayal of a fisherman’s wife opposite Narain in Jude Anthany Joseph's 2018: Everyone Is A Hero.
Beyond acting, Nileen has also showcased her creative abilities as a writer. She penned the web series Samarthya Shastram and the second season of Rock Paper Scissors, both of which were directed by Shyamin and backed by Karikku.
Shyamin is currently working on his feature directorial debut with It’s a Medical Miracle, which stars Sangeeth Prathap and Sharaf U Dheen in lead roles, with Akhila Bhargavan as the female lead.
