Following a 63-day shoot, principal photography has been completed on the upcoming psychological thriller, headlined by Kunchacko Boban and Lijomol Jose, the makers announced on Saturday. The yet-to-be-titled film is scripted by Ronth filmmaker Shahi Kabir and marks the directorial debut of editor Kiran Das. It is jointly produced by T-Series Films and Panorama Studios, both of which earlier collaborated on Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 and the upcoming Asif Ali-starrer Tiki Taka.
The untitled film is also said to centre on police officers, a thematic space familiar to Shahi, whose previous works have explored the moral and procedural complexities of law enforcement. The technical team comprises cinematographer Arjun Sethu, music director Justin Varghese and production designer Dileep Nath. The project marks Kunchacko Boban’s third collaboration with Shahi after Nayattu and Officer on Duty. Kiran had earlier edited Shahi’s scripting debut Joseph as well as his first directorial venture Ela Veezha Poonchira. Kiran’s major credits as an editor include Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Ishq, Joji, Jan.E.Man, Rorschach, Romancham and Ullozhukku, among others.
Meanwhile, Kunchacko Boban has several other projects in the pipeline. He will next be seen in Mahesh Narayanan’s multistarrer Patriot, which reunites Mammootty and Mohanlal on screen after a long gap, with Fahadh Faasil playing the antagonist. The espionage thriller is slated to hit theatres worldwide on April 23. The Nna Thaan Case Kodu actor also has Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil, Officer on Duty filmmaker Jithu Ashraf's next, and Antakshari co-writer Renjit Varma's directorial debut Nere Chovva, which reunites him with Manju Warrier after a decade.
Lijomol, who was last seen in the Nivin Pauly-starrer Baby Girl, also has editor Manu Antony's directorial debut Aja Sundari alongside Joju George as part of her upcoming lineup.
